Mom's Day

We had a wonderful Mom's Day this year. The kids and I (minus Jerrod who had to look after the ranch) drove to Abilene on Friday. We had a wonderfully relaxing night cooking out and letting the kids show off for Nana and Papa. My kids are all at such fun ages and it's so strange to watch them sometimes, because I can distinctly remember being 8 years old with two younger brothers. Saturday Lex and I took Gammy, Teryn, and Aunt Summer to lunch and had a great visit. That afternoon The Pittman family arrived and brought Queenie for the weekend too. We dropped by Western Heritage to watch the Matched Horse Races and had a blast while we were there and then headed back home for a relaxing night. The best part of the weekend was the message at church on Sunday. Beltway is such a spiritual place and I never leave there without feeling the Holy Spirit. The guest preacher was wonderful and had a great Mom's Day message, but the part that affected me the most was realizing that I am responsible for molding these 3 precious lives and even when I think no one is watching all that I am putting into my children and my home, God is always watching and appreciating. It was such a sweet message. After church Dad treated all of us girl's to a scruptious lunch at the Bee Hive. I'm so lucky that I still have both of my grandmothers!Sunday, April 25, 2010

An All Star is Born
I don't want to be one of those mom's that constantly brags on her children, however, I do have some athletes!! I'm very competetive, so this exciting to me! Will had his first T-ball game this weekend, and I was expecting to get a few laughs out of it. Boy was I surprised! He played pitcher and since they don't actually pitch in T-ball, his position was to field all of the balls. He made 15-20 outs! He's got quite an arm and takes it very seriously! He also hit some slammers too! It's so much fun!
O.M.G. Round Top Rocks!
Okay...so I cannot express in words what fun a girl's trip to Round Top is! And what fun it is to share the experience with 3 awesome women...my mom and sis-in-laws! I'm pretty sure that Nat, Lauren, and I didn't know what we were in for. The weather was AMAZING as Nat would say, the food was AMAZING, the company was AMAZING, and the junk was AMAZING! All in all, it was an AMAZING trip! We came home with cars full of the fun stuff and maybe an extra couple of pounds to boot! Our families survived without us, and we've decided this is an absolute annual trip...or if we're lucky, semi-annual! Thanks, Dad for the trip! Thanks to mom for teaching us how to junk!

Las Vegas Trip
This Spring Break we took an 18 hour road trip to Las Vegas with Summer and Tooter to see Pop, Nanny Lisa, and Katie. We drove through the night so the kids could sleep and now we are all trying to recooperate from a long, but fun trip! Here are some things we did:
