Working for Cake

The other day while folding laundry in the laundry room, Tate spotted a white box on the top of the cabinets. "There's Bubba's cake!" he squealed. He was terribly disappointed when he found out it was just a box of Christmas things, but it did give me the bright idea to bribe him with his very own "birthday" cake if he would start going to the potty. He was extremely motivated by this thought and has only had two small accidents since then (5 days ago). We let him pick his cake out last night and he chose a superhero cupcake combo. Yeah Tate! He and his Bubba enjoyed his treasure last night.

First Day of School

I can't believe we've started another school year, and a pretty big one too! This year, Lexi started 3rd grade at the Intermediate School, while Will started kindergarten at the Elementary. So, we are on seperate campuses! They both had great days and Will fell asleep in the truck on the way home. He'll have to get used to this new schedule! Meanwhile, Tate started his new home care program with Miss Shauna. It is going to be such a blessing. Today, his note said that they visited the garden, baked cookies, painted, counted, and read. He came home with an art project that said, "Tate is created in the image of God" and on his note there was a reminder that Tate is a blessing! What a great start to this year.

Happy Birthday, Will!

I'm a little late on this post, but Will turned 5 on Wednesday. It's hard to believe that 5 years has passed by. He is a precious young man, so kind and obediant. I know the Lord has great plans for this little life. We celebrated his birthday with a small pizza party and a tractor cake!

My life...

Here are some pictures of the most important little people in my life! Can you tell they are siblings?

Family Vacation 2009

This year our family went to Possum Kingdom for our vacation. We had so much fun and truly enjoyed our time together without the normal stresses of everyday life. Our days were spent drinking coffee by the lake, going to check Jerrod's trot lines, swimming at Sandy Beach, cooking out, making s'mores, and fishing in the dark. What fun! We were sad to leave, but happy to take a shower in the comfort of our clean home! Here are some of our favorite pictures.
