Happy Birthday, Tater Bug!

Melt my heart! My baby is 4! That just doesn't seem right! This little guy has changed our family in big ways. The future is bright for this boy, so full of personality. He is so different from my other two, a challenge I must say. Right now, I am really having to learn how to shape his little heart without squashing his spirit. Challenging, I will say again. He is so quirky, full of life, and funny! Of all 3 of my babies, his humor and mischevious nature surpasses them all. He's a skinny little thing, but can fill up a room with his energy, could live on sugar alone if I let him, has no interest in real food, doesn't care what anyone thinks of him (which I'm determined this will work in our favor one day), is very brave, loves orange juice and babies, is very intelligent, finds great joy in pulling pranks(yes, already), and loves attention (of any kind). He can be pretty sweet too, especially when he wants his mommy. Happy birthday, my littlest one, may God bless you this year and years to come!

A Night at the Nutcracker

We were blessed to get 4 box seat tickets at the Bass Hall to the Nutcracker from Jerrod's boss. Of course, Jerrod and the boys had no desire to go, so they skipped out and did their own thing. Lexi and I had a date with Nat and Tatum for the evening. It was so fun being with the girls downtown during such a magical time of year. We ate at the new Chuy's and the girls loved the Nutcracker!

Christmas Fun

I love this picture of the cousins eating smores!
When I went to take Tate's picture, I noticed he had found his friend Chance from church!
What a fun night we had with our cousins on Saturday! We met Zach and the kids in Aledo for their Christmas celebration, while Nat and her friend set up a booth for their (awesome) picture frames. The night began a little rough, our train ride with 7 children was cut short after the train broke down! You can only laugh in situations like these. The evening quickly turned around when we found the petting zoo, smores, kettle corn, and sausage on a stick. All in all, it was a very fun night!

So Blessed

Dixie snapped this picture of the 3 of us at Thanksgiving, and it just reminds me of how thankful I am to have these two as my sister-in-laws. Growing up without sisters has drawn me even closer to these sweet girls.

The Reason for the Season

How proud this Mama is! Lexi wrote her letter to Santa, and it starts like this:
Dear Santa,
I love that you come every year and give us toys but I hope that you know Christmas is all about how Jesus came to earth and saved us from our sins....
Wow! Sometimes it takes a child to remind us what Christmas is truly about. I hope that we can keep this in mind throughout this magical time of year!

Boys Will Be Boys!

The cousins had SO much fun together at Nana's over Thanksgiving. We caught these silly boys just being boys...and this was our sad attempt to get a cute picture of all of them!
