Mom's Day
We had a wonderful Mom's Day this year. The kids and I (minus Jerrod who had to look after the ranch) drove to Abilene on Friday. We had a wonderfully relaxing night cooking out and letting the kids show off for Nana and Papa. My kids are all at such fun ages and it's so strange to watch them sometimes, because I can distinctly remember being 8 years old with two younger brothers. Saturday Lex and I took Gammy, Teryn, and Aunt Summer to lunch and had a great visit. That afternoon The Pittman family arrived and brought Queenie for the weekend too. We dropped by Western Heritage to watch the Matched Horse Races and had a blast while we were there and then headed back home for a relaxing night. The best part of the weekend was the message at church on Sunday. Beltway is such a spiritual place and I never leave there without feeling the Holy Spirit. The guest preacher was wonderful and had a great Mom's Day message, but the part that affected me the most was realizing that I am responsible for molding these 3 precious lives and even when I think no one is watching all that I am putting into my children and my home, God is always watching and appreciating. It was such a sweet message. After church Dad treated all of us girl's to a scruptious lunch at the Bee Hive. I'm so lucky that I still have both of my grandmothers!
